Alice in Wonderland PEEPS Pops

Time to make the PEEPS Pops again!

Over the years I've made a bunch of stuff out of marshmallow PEEPS.  They are one of my fav brands to create with.  My go to edible craft is making pops out the Spring bunny PEEPS.

See more of my PEEPS crafts here!

And another of my favorites is Alice in Wonderland! Hopefully you can recognize some of the characters in PEEPS pop form!

Start with bunny PEEPS and add a popsicle stick to them (secure the stick with a little melted white chocolate)

Then dip them in melted white chocolate chips.

The rest of the detail is done with mostly melted candy melts in an assortment of colors and various types of candy sprinkles.

All the characters are awesome and unique and remind me of my childhood since I watched the cartoon movie (circa 1951!) a lot as a kid.

The Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Alice, and the White Rabbit are my absolute favs!

The Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts came out a little wonky - but that's ok they are kinda wonky characters anyway so it fits!

Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum plus a couple Eat Me/Drink Me PEEPS round out the set.

Who's your favorite Alice in Wonderland Character?

Thanks for swinging by and Happy Easter to those who celebrate!

Candy Valentines on Chocolate Graham Crackers

Hey all, it's February and time for all that is pink and red and heart shaped!

I love decorating graham crackers so decided to make some really simple edible valentine day treats made with lots of fun candies of the season.

If you head down the candy aisle you can't miss all the Valentine's Day goodies overflowing.  My kiddos also love chocolate graham crackers so decided decorate them with some of their fav candy.

Marshmallows Peeps, Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales

And my oldest loves loves LOVES conversation hearts.  As with Peeps you kinda either love them or hate them.  I love Peeps but I'm not into those chalky hearts.  He on the other hand finished off a big bag in a week! Sheesh.

Putting them together is really simple.  You basically ice a graham cracker with royal icing, add the candy in fun ways - like these flowers or add marshmallow heart Peeps, then let the icing dry.

Have them for a fun valentines day dessert or wrap them up for handing to your Valentines day sweeties!

Chocolate, icing, and candy with some cute sayings - So fun!

Since I can't watch the news these days without getting a headache I think I'll get my motivation from these conversation hearts! They make a lot of sense to me in this seemingly intolerant time we all are living in.

Be kind and empathetic to each other - remember try not to judge unless you've walked a day in someone else's shoes.  Have a great week!

Chocolate Graham Crackers Decorated for Valentines Day

Ingredients
  • Chocolate graham crackers (or you can use your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup of royal icing
  • Assorted candy like Mike and Ike's, Hot Tamales, Valentines Peeps, and Conversation Hearts
  • Non-pareil sprinkles
Instructions:
  1. Spread royal icing across tops of graham crackers.
  2. Add candies to while icing is still wet.  Use Mike and Ike's or Hot Tamales to make flower shapes. I cut them in half but you could leave whole as well.  Add conversation hearts or Valentines Peeps to the centers.  Decorate with more candies as desired.
  3. Sprinkle with non-pareil sprinkles.
  4. Let dry for at least 2 hours.
  5. Wrap in treat bags or store in airtight container for 1 week.

Holiday PEEPS Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

My edible crafting with marshmallow PEEPS continues!

The fun people that work with the PEEPS brand were kind enough to send me some of their latest seasonal flavors! Sugar Plum Delight, Cinnamon Roll, Red Velvet, and Sugar Cookie. How fun are they??

Although they are already very festive, you can add some easy details and make them really ready for any holiday or Christmas party.

Make them into wintery polar bears!

Or give them fun little Christmas hats!

Birds get cold too so add some tiny ear muffs!

Or turn them into reindeer - or go directly to the most famous reindeer of all

I usually add PEEPS to cupcakes (which would be A.DOR.A.BLE) but this time went with a Christmas-y chocolate chip cookie cake.

I mean who can resist a huge chocolate chip cookie during the holiday season??

The cookie cake disappeared in no time flat last nite!

Holiday PEEPS Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

Mermaid Cupcakes & PEEPS Cookbook Giveaway

Do you guys love mermaids as much as I do? They rate very high up there like unicorns and rainbows for me. There's just something about those pretty and colorful tails.

And since it's PEEPS season, how about making some mermaid bunny PEEPS??

PEEPS come in so many flavors these days so when I saw these orange creme flavored bunnies this year I didn't know what I would make with them BUT I knew they would come in handy.

Green apple fruit strips worked out great for the tails.

Add some cute flowers detail and a little heart shaped sprinkle for the mouth.  The scales are made with light green candy wafers.

Or just make a bunch of mermaid tails and use them as cupcake toppers.

OR make both!

My love of Marshmallow PEEPS is pretty obvious right? Well I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute to a new Peeps-a-licious Cookbook! 3 of my recipes are featured in the new cookbook for PEEPS lovers.  I'm so excited to be included in this fun recipe book!  The mermaids are not in the book (how to listed below) but there are some other really fun PEEPS treats.   Here's a sneak peak of the Harry Potter PEEPS Pops that are in the book!

And the super fun PEEPS AND COMPANY and Quarto Books are letting me give a couple of the cookbook out to some of my readers.  YAY!

Enter to win below.

  • 10 mini pretzels (as base)

  5. Melt yellow and pink candy in separate quart size freezer bag in 10 second intervals until just melted.  Snip an end of the corner and pipe flower shape.  While still wet add a sprinkle to center.  Let harden 15 minutes.
  6. Use some of the melted candy and attach flower to bunny as hair decoration and attach sprinkle heart as the mouth.
  7. Melt blue candy in quart size freezer bag in 10 second intervals until just melted.  Snip an end of the corner and pipe small mound onto pretzel.  Attach a bunny to each (allows bunny to stand up). Let harden 15 minutes.

Day 11 Star Wars Peeps Pops #12daysofStarWars

I think you guys probably know my slight obsession with Marshmallow Peeps right? So it probably won't surprise you that they are the canvas for my next treat.

Day 11 of #12daysofStarWars

Star Wars Bunny Peeps Pops!

For these treats I went with my favorite trio of pals that have stood the test of time through all the Star Wars movies! I'm guessing we'll be seeing them in The Force Awakens too.

This is not my first time at the Star Wars Peeps pops show.  Awhile back I did some Troopers too.  I always have fun making them and they always make my kids smile.  (If you search Peeps pops on the blog you'll see all the versions over the years)

OK we are getting close people! Tomorrow night everyone starts seeing the movie at The Force Awakens midnight shows.  Gotta try to avoid all social media and reviews until we see it on the weekend!

Stop back tomorrow for one last new Star Wars treat or follow along on FacebookInstagram and/or Twitter! #12daysofStarWars @sugarswings

Thanksgiving Pilgrim Turkey Marshmallow Peeps

Hey all, here's yet another turkey treat!  I seem to be a little obsessed with the fowl of the season.  This time I'm using marshmallow Peeps chicks that are out right now and all that left over candy corn you probably have laying around.

Add some little pilgrim hats just because you can.

See the easy directions here at sheknows!

Here are the other super simple Candy Turkeys (in case you missed them!)
