Bake sale!

I am way too excited for the bake sale at Jack's school.....he did help, as it is a lesson in money....he picked and help mix the colors for the flowers (which are candy melts) and wrote out the price stickers....and sampled of course! The K class gets a pizza party and then donate whatever is left to a charity they choose. Pretty cool.

For the boy's St Patty's Day party at school tomorrow. There is something about green cupcakes that I love--I loved about 3 of these mini's about an hour ago.

Butterfly birthday cake

Birthday cake with butterflies...same technique as the flowers--candy melts nuked in the microwave until they can be piped from a zip lock into the wing shapes. Once they are hardened, stick the wings into the body (before it dries) and prop them up into the wings in motion shape. Pretty easy actually. I am ready for warm weather!

These were for Jack's 2nd birthday and really took the longest to date--the animals are candy melts and the detail took forever. The little ones have requested a fire engine and a baby einstein cake for for their 3rd in April
