Homemade Super Bowl Team Bracelets Made from Assorted Candies

The Big Game is right around the corner so root for your favorite team by "sporting" some candy bracelets.  They are simple to make and in case you're not a huge football fan you can just make bracelets in any way you like.

Who do you think will win this year? The Seattle Seahawks or the New England Patriots??

See my kiddos' prediction and the How To for these fun bracelets here at sheknows!

sweet & salty football snacks....!

Football snacks

...so these are almost too easy to make into a post...and i'm sure you've seen these around before....but what the heck it's the super bowl next sunday (or the big game....can you still not say super bowl because it's copyrighted??)

....i've made these a bunch of times for parties and they are always a hit....a sweet and salty combo snack!....you'll need pretzels....any shape will work but i use the square ones....and candy melt/wafers, and m 'n m's.....

...then make them the team colors....for those of you not into football the NY Giants are in (woohoo!)....and the New England Patriots....and they pretty much have the same team colors---i was really routing for the Raven's last weekend so there would be another color combo to throw into the mix (it's kinda sad that i pick teams based on treats i'm thinking of making.....but i digress)....

....the patriots are wearing their blue uniforms and silver helmets...so i spray painted some white m 'n m's silver with some leftover duff silver cake graffiti....it's like edible spray paint....

....and used some candy wafers in blue and white....just pop on top the pretzel and bake at about 185 degrees until the wafers are just melted....about 5 minutes or so.....

....then add some non-pareils in coordinating team colors.....and an m 'n m on top....

....and you get some super simple and fun party snacks...that you can make the day of or make way ahead of time!.....oh and....

football brownie bars....!

football brownie bites

.....ok i know it's not football season anymore (pitchers and catchers have reported to sunny florida....woohoo!).....but since everyone may be in their post valentine's day - pre st. patty's day baking period.....i figured i'd post these anyway....and let's just say the grass reminds us that spring is coming....(it was actually kinda warm in the northeast today!)....

....these are gluten free brownies from a trader joe's mix....there's no levening agent in it so the brownies were pretty dense and moist on there own....so even more reason to cut them up and top with some vanilla buttercream.....!...tinted grass green and piped on with the grass/fur tip.....(btw-one of the kiddos asked for their birthday cake to be a character that has mostly green fur.....i need to start working my hands out now for piping that one...!)

...the footballs are...what else?....candy melts!....(i promise i do not get free samples of these things from wilton.....but wilton i would surely try out any new candy melt products you have....wink wink)....they were just done free hand and when dry....some white buttercream piped on top for the "laces"....

...and you get a bunch of these.....

...doesn't the brownie make it look like little patches of cut out dirt and grass.....??

brownie bites

...and my kiddos loved these....especially this one!...(luckily they were for a party and not left around the house...!) happy almost weekend to everyone!

football cupcakes for the super bowl 2010

these were chocolate cupcakes made with the wiltons egg pan and drizzled with melted store bought fudge frosting (just melted in the microwave). Laces are white buttercream. Super easy from start to finish.
