Marvel's Loki God of Mischief Cookies

Marvel's Loki Cookies

Disney+ definitely has it right with their series list and schedule. Between Star Wars and Marvel shows they have a captive audience every week.    The next Marvel series coming out this June is Loki!

 Marvel's Loki for President

You know Loki, Thor's brother, the God of Mischief.  We can't really tell if he's truly Good or Evil (probably both) or Alive or Dead (probably both!).  He flips back and forth in these statuses throughout the movies so I can't wait to see what the 6 series show has in store.

Made some cookies in anticipation.

Colorful cookie dough

Used my favorite sugar cookie dough that holds its shape.  I always use this recipe from In Katrina's Kitchen which works great every time I make 3D'ish cookies.  Just tint the dough and you use it like play-doh.  Definitely do not refrigerate the dough.  I did for some and they didn't bake up as nicely.

I put Loki in his gold helmet and also gave him his scepter.

Also added in the logo from the new series and worked on some buttons from some of the show screenshots.

I might also be on board for "Loki for President" but will see what the series has in store for us.

Marvel's WandaVision Character Cookies

 Wanda Vision Cookies

I'm so glad Marvel Studios made some alternate plans for show series since we're all stuck at home.  Our family has been watching WandaVision and we're hooked!

It started out way different with Scarlet Witch and Vision in some old TV sitcom series but it has really taken off now and I'm curious to see how they pull this all together.  I can't even really give you a plot or who is good versus who is bad.  Just watch it for yourself!

Of course I had to make some treats to celebrate the show!  I went with no spread cookies in some of the show's characters.

This is my favorite no spread cookie dough recipe by In Katrina's Kitchen. It works great everytime!

Wanda Vision Cookies

Mix in edible food gels (or you can also go with natural food colors) and then just shape your cookies.

Wanda Vision Cookies

It's a little like using play-doh and really fun.

Wanda Vision Cookies

I used some of the new WandaVision emojis from Twitter when you hashtag some of the WandaVision keywords. They are super cute!

#Wanda and  #TheVision or #WandaVision

I also had to do the twins from other pics

Some of the supporting characters are my favs!

Agnes the neighbor - although there is more to her than meets the eye!

Wanda's brother Pietro (or is he?!)

Darcy - love her from the Thor movies and she brings the same to WandaVision

And

Monica Rambeau - I'm sure she's got a back story to tell too!

I love them all together!

Can't wait to see how this series wraps up

I totally agree WandaVision! Looking forward to the next episode tomorrow!

Marvel's Deadpool No Bake Cookies

Are you ready for the next Marvel X-Men movie installment?! Deadpool - the story of "anti-hero" Wade Wilson opens this month on February 12th and I can't wait to see it.

At least the trailer looks pretty cool:

I love Deadpool because not only can he heal himself - but is known as the "merc with a mouth" and has a "twisted sense of humor" - cue the jokes and shenanigans.  He's also not pretty.  Well Ryan Reynolds plays him so that could be a stretch, but he is supposed to be disfigured, hence the mask.

lolz!

He also knows he's a comic book character and often talks to the reader (or in the movie he probably talks directly to the camera) - in the geek world this is called breaking the "fourth wall".  Love it.

Well as usual my way of welcoming some of my fav pop culture icons, I make treats.

In this case Deadpool Cookies.

They are really very easy and no bake so you can make them in no time flat.  I'm sure Deadpool would have some snarky comment about them.  Bring 'it Deadpool, bring it!

Pop over and see more here at sheknows.

Silver Surfer Whoopie Pies

So as the annual tradition dictates, I made the hubster whoopie pies for his birthday this year.  Not just any old whoopie pies, Silver Surfer whoopie pies!

The Silver Surfer is his fav Marvel super hero.  If you don't know the back story, Silver Surfer started out as a herald for Galactus.   Galactus is the bad guy who eats world's energy- HE DEVOURS WORLDS.  That's a bad ass villian super power if you ask me.  Well Silver Surfer used to find worlds to be on deck for Galactus, but when he came to Earth and met the Fantastic Four - he had a change of heart and turned on Galactus.

Anyway, the hubster has always been a huge Silver Surfer fan and still has his comic book collection from when he was in college.  My original plan was to buy him the first Silver Surfer comic (circa 1968) but I can't really justify spending the hefty price tag for it when it will probably be sitting in a plastic sleeve for years, so went with plan B.  (Although I have to admit Issue #1 looks pretty darn cool!)

Plan B was Silver Surfer themed whoopie pies.  They start like any other whoopie pie recipe.  I always use this recipe because it's so tasty and pretty fail safe.   Pipe and bake your "pie" circles.

Once cool, add the text (or whatever your design) with melted candy wafers/melts.  You could use  melted white chocolate chips as well.

The silver is from silver color mist - which is like edible spray paint.  If you have not used this before, try it, it makes coloring some projects so easy and fast! (I don't get paid or product from Wilton, I just love the stuff and have it in most colors!).  Once the candy melt is hardened, spray the color mist on both whoopie pie halves and let dry.

Add your favorite whoopie pie filling and serve.

And as I mentioned, in place of birthday cake we do birthday whoopie pies!

Happy birthday to my best friend, The best dad, and my better half for the past 20+ years!

And thank you for swinging by - have an awesome week!
