What do you do when life is nuts? I guess bake!

When did life get so crazy and hectic anyway? Is this what getting old is about? (because I'm not liking it so much!) But, I got my first request for a cake for our neighbor's son's birthday. I was going to do the kid's whole name but it was getting late, so decided the H was good enough. He's a Mets fan so *tried* to go for their logo. It was a hit so that was pretty cool. I am getting some mileage out of the ball pan!

the little's turned 3 today (3 is so the new 2) and wow did they act it today...I am beat. Party was this past weekend, and the cakes turned out pretty good...of course they had separate requests...

You can see the birthday boy snagged a headlight before I noticed and took some pics...that kid is fast...


Ms. G requested a baby einstein cake....the characters took awhile (traced the DVD covers on parchment with royal icing), but came out ok...


...had some issues with some of the characters...breaks, etc, one pretty much crumbled as I was putting it on...had to try to glue it together with more icing (of course no photos of that mess)


After the carnage....


All in all a great #3 for the kiddos....!
